About Simply Green

Simply Green Recycling was founded in 2009 by Stephanie and Bryan Cates, who dedicated over a decade to providing recycling collection to local communities. In June 2019, the Crouch family took over operations, continuing the Cates' legacy with a commitment to environmental stewardship and adding composting services to help direct food waste out of the local landfills. Over the past few years, our operations have expanded to include responsible waste management for variety of materials, creating an opportunity to further assist in designing greener, more sustainability-driven options in WNC.

Based in Morganton, Simply Green offers a range of services, including (but not limited to) curbside recycling, composting, and specialized recycling for materials such as plastic bags, styrofoam, electronics, and more for both residential and commercial customers. We strive to make recycling and waste management easy and accessible across our region with timely, dependable service while keeping innovative, sustainable solutions at the heart of everything we do. Supporting our community and keeping materials and services local is a consistent goal of Simply Green and is deeply tied to our mission as a company.

As a locally operated company with deep roots in the region, we understand the importance of tailoring services to meet the unique needs of each area we serve. We’re excited and committed to providing Valdese with services that are both effective and eco-friendly.
